We’re a team of college students that felt inspired to create a new media company that aims for honesty, accessibility, and fairness in any way that we can muster. We have a few ambitious goals:
- We believe that neutrality does not exist, and that the antidote to that reality is balance. So, we bring in and discuss as many perspectives as possible in our pieces
- We want rigorous journalism to be accessible to people that traditional media does not reach. On top of that, almost no-one here has a journalism or communications background. We want our staff to reflect society
- We believe strongly in the importance of supporting small artists, so we give them a platform to promote themselves
- We strive to encourage everyone to be engaged in the political process and build community in the real world
Sound lofty? That’s because all that it is. We’re still learning, and it will take a long time to get close to realizing everything that we want to. But hopefully you believe in the importance of those goals enough to stick around with us!
